Intravenous indwelling needle infusion is a method of infusion using a specialized intravenous indwelling needle. It consists of a stainless steel needle core, a soft outer cannula, a needle handle and a heparin cap. When puncturing, the outer cannula and the needle core are pierced together into the blood vessel, and when the cannula is fed into the blood vessel, the needle core is withdrawn and only the soft outer cannula is left in the blood vessel for infusion, thus protecting the baby's blood vessels.
Indwelling needles are left in the back of the hand:
(1) Hands with indwelling needles should not be subjected to strenuous exercise, e.g., you can read a book and not play ball;
(2) Hands with indwelling needles should not be immersed in water, and when washing hands, avoid the area covered by the indwelling needle patch;
(3) Put a sock on the hand with the indwelling needle after the infusion (turn the sock over when you put it on, because there are threads inside the sock) to prevent the child from tearing off the needle when playing.
The butterfly type disposable intravenous indwelling needle is divided into two types, Y-A and Y-AZ.

Disposable intravenous indwelling needles for intermittent, continuous or daily intravenous infusion therapy for clinical patients. The core components include a catheter/cannula that can be left in the blood vessel and an imported steel needle. When the catheter is fully inserted into the vessel, the needle core is withdrawn and only the flexible catheter is left in the vessel for infusion therapy. It is suitable for pediatrics, oncology, neurology/surgery, general ward, outpatient and other departments.
